About The Role
The Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring tools and supplies are accurately distributed to crews in good condition and in a timely manner. The manager must work with a team to complete tasks while complying with federal, state, and local warehousing laws. The manager preps and loads supplies and equipment and maintains the necessary paperwork to record product movement and may be required to provide direction to junior level warehouse employees.

Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.

Essential Functions

  • Schedule and coordinate shipments
  • Manage physical inventory and communicate inventory status as needed
  • Monitor and improve procedures in a manner that improves efficiency and quality
  • Manage warehouse staff and ensure safety procedures and policies are adhered to at all times
  • Maintain good physical condition of facilities
  • Delegate work to team members in order to accomplish tasks
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and inventory by implementing and monitoring security procedures
  • Advise staff of company policy expectations
  • Lead and audit the work of assigned staff; act as a mentor
  • Coordinate employee performance reviews
  • Maintain service records on facilities and equipment
  • Coordinate with project teams and successfully meet the demands of construction projects
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at the Henderson warehouse location.
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-speciic professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
ABOUT YOU

  • 3-5 years of Warehouse experience, electrical experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Management or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage staff while holding them accountable
  • Excellent organizational skills with a systematic approach
  • Ability to quickly gain trust and respect for the purpose of establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as inventory control systems

What We Offer
Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range - $75,000 - $100,000/ year

  • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
