Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodial Worker/Janitor to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning tasks and a strong attention to detail.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
  • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Handle custodial duties in facilities maintenance, ensuring all areas are well-kept and sanitary.
  • Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Support porter duties by managing waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Report any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in floor care maintenance, including buffing and waxing, is highly desirable.
  • Background in residential painting or facilities maintenance will be considered an advantage.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
