As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the general appearance, maintenance, and repair of the CFCU office locations. This includes the evaluation and coordination with management and vendors for repairs to mechanical and plumbing systems. Performs work after normal business hours, including weekends, as required for security alarms, building issues, special repairs, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Nashville Office:

  • Daily prepares the office for business, including outside areas.
  • Performs weekly/monthly inspections to ensure building remains in good order for employees and members
  • Performs general maintenance and repairs to items such as lights bulbs, filters, drains, etc. Works with department managers to schedule other repairs and maintenance jobs as identified.
  • Responsible for general appearance maintenance of parking lot, outside areas, and other office cleaning not managed by the janitors. This includes spot cleaning of carpets, glass surfaces, walls, ATM's, etc.
  • Performs general carpentry and paint touchup as needed.
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies for the general building operation and upkeep.
  • Performs occasional duties after normal business hours, including weekends. Some repairs are best performed when employees are not present. Working after normal business hours can also occur due to security alarm or utility company issues.
  • Occasionally performs local and branch deliveries/pickups of items as requested by management.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management including but not limited to cleaning, pickup/delivery, purchasing, repairing, and working with vendors.

Branch Office Locations:

  • Works with management to coordinate general appearance maintenance for branch office locations.
  • Performs monthly inspections to ensure building remains in good order for employees and members
  • Conducts repairs and maintenance as needed to mechanical and plumbing systems and coordinates with vendors to repair these systems.
  • Spot cleans carpets, glass surfaces, walls, ATM's, etc. as needed.
  • Performs delivery and pickup of items with all office locations as required.
  • Maintains an inventory of specialty maintenance supplies for general building use such as light bulbs and filters.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management including but not limited to cleaning, pickup/delivery, purchasing, repairing, and working with vendors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education

High school diploma required.

Experience

Minimum three-year practical work experience in a position of a similar or related responsibility. Experience with and knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems is required.

Physical, mental and visual requirements

The work of performing building maintenance and repair duties requires dexterity, physical strength and coordination. Operating a vehicle is required to perform delivery and pickup duties as well as traveling to branch locations.

Other

Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license.

Must have strong initiative and ability to work independently. Must be flexible and have a cooperative attitude. Must be able to function as a team player and cooperate with co-workers, members, and business associates.
