SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Engineer I – Patio Door Supermarket primary responsibilities in manufacturing are to drive department and enterprise key initiatives through continuous process improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes. Candidates for this position should have energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Provide engineering support for daily operations in the Door supermarket warehouse area, focusing on efficiency and layout optimization
• Design and implement part storage solutions to reduce floor space, improve accessibility and safety
• Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes, standards, and improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles
• Analyze and improve material flow and inventory systems within the manufacturing area
• Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives
• Utilize engineering tools like AutoCAD and Visio for analysis and design.
• Promote a hands-on, high involvement approach to problem solving

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering
• Open to varying levels of experience - Preferred 2 - 3 years of experience
• Strong project management skills
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.

Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $77,000 - $119,000 annually.

PROFIT SHARING:
In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
