Senior Software Engineer Financial Services (C# / .NET / SQL Server)
1-Year Contract | Remote (PST Hours) | No Third Parties
We re seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
to enhance and support mission-critical enterprise applications in a performance-driven, compliance-focused
financial services
environment. This role combines deep technical expertise with operational ownership and close collaboration across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using C#/.NET Framework (4.8), WinForms/WPF, and Windows Services.
• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and schema management.
• Own production reliability for 24/7 systems monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and SLA management.
• Implement and maintain robust reconciliation, retry, and back-pressure logic to ensure transaction stability.
• Partner directly with business, operations, and risk teams to troubleshoot issues, prioritize enhancements, and ensure seamless workflows.
• Deliver compliant software changes in regulated environments (SOX, audit standards) with rigorous documentation and change control.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years with C#/.NET Framework (4.8), WinForms/WPF, and Windows Services.
• Strong T-SQL expertise query optimization, stored procedure development, and schema evolution.
• Proven experience managing and supporting 24/7 production systems.
• Deep understanding of reliability engineering, incident management, and operational best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely across technical and business teams.
• Strong documentation and change management discipline.
• Must be available to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Direct experience in financial services or capital markets (trading, risk, or regulatory systems) is a strong plus.
