Warehouse Supply Control Specialist

The Warehouse Supply Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, overseeing the flow of materials, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role supports the supply chain by coordinating with procurement, logistics, and production teams to meet organizational needs.
Candidates will be required to complete a basic math test the day of the interview.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Supervise receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct routine audits and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to align supply with demand.
- Implement and enforce safety and compliance standards within the warehouse.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of materials and products.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies and support efficient supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.
- Math Skills: Ability to perform accurate counting, basic arithmetic, percentages, and ratios.
- Inventory Control: Track incoming/outgoing supplies, reconcile stock counts, and identify discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly reports on stock levels, usage, and reorder needs.
- Computer Skills: Use spreadsheets, warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP software to log and analyze data.
- Attention to Detail: Spot errors in counts or records quickly.
- Communication: Report findings clearly to supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory control.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one is a plus.
