Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Irrigation Manager to oversee all irrigation operations for our commercial and HOA properties across South Florida. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and strong communication skills. The Irrigation Manager will be responsible for supervising multiple irrigation crews, ensuring systems operate efficiently, and delivering high-quality service that meets company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Crew & Project Oversight

  • Supervise and manage multiple irrigation crews across assigned properties.
  • Schedule daily and weekly work, ensuring inspections, repairs, and installations are completed on time.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate crew leaders and technicians to maintain quality and productivity.

  • Monitor labor hours, materials usage, and project efficiency.

  • System Management

  • Oversee inspections, wet checks, and seasonal irrigation adjustments.
  • Ensure pumps, valves, controllers, and piping are functioning properly and repaired promptly.
  • Implement efficient water scheduling and conservation practices.
  • Coordinate with fertilization and landscaping managers to align irrigation with plant and turf needs

Client Communication & Reporting

  • Meet with property managers, HOA boards, and clients to review irrigation performance and recommend improvements.
  • Provide written irrigation reports, proposals for upgrades, and cost estimates for repairs.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism and proactive communication

Compliance & Efficiency

  • Ensure all crews follow South Florida water restrictions, environmental codes, and safety regulations.
  • Introduce and oversee smart technology (controllers, sensors, monitoring systems) to improve efficiency.
  • Track and document water usage, repairs, and system upgrades for accountability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of irrigation experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews and large-scale operations effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation pumps, hydraulics, controllers, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with South Florida plant material, soil conditions, and water restrictions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in South Florida heat, humidity, and rain.
  • Comfortable walking large properties and assisting with fieldwork when needed.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate irrigation tools and equipment.
