Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service skills.

Duties

  • Operate 26' box truck over the road. I do not require you to run over the weekends, if you choose to to make the extra money we will do so. Otherwise our goal is to or through hometown on the weekends.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured properly during transport.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving items and organizing.

Experience

  • Previous experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Experience in moving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules and documentation.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Experience using ELD is required as well as an understanding of Hours of Service.
  • 25-30% of Weekly Gross
  • Hotel every other day, s covered on 34 hour reset if not home.
  • Driver must have current DOT physical
