Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving, warehouse operations, and operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks. A strong focus on safety, heavy lifting, and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle for daily deliveries
  • Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements
  • Deliver products to customers while providing exceptional customer service
  • Verify delivery accuracy and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery equipment
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving

Experience

  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities
  • Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations including loading, unloading, and moving heavy items using forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients
  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely (up to 50 pounds or more) repeatedly throughout the day
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation
  • Valid driver's license or equivalent required; clean driving record preferred
  • Previous experience with heavy lifting, moving, forklift operation, or warehouse work is a plus
