Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services within the store
  • Conduct engaging product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, transactions, and receipts
  • Manage merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and basic merchandising adjustments
  • Support supervising staff during busy periods by overseeing sales floor activities and ensuring store policies are followed

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
  • Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math concepts such as calculating discounts or totals
  • Excellent communication skills with friendly phone etiquette and active listening abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products through persuasive techniques and product knowledge
  • Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
  • Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory counts
  • Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the role
