Xtreme Installations is a family owned electrical company based in Sanford, FL. We specialize in designing and installing custom low-voltage solutions including home theater systems, smart home automation, lighting control, motorized shades, video surveillance, alarm systems, and access control for both residential and commercial clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing and configuring electronic equipment and components, including TVs, speakers, amplifiers, processors, projectors, AV racks, conduit/raceways, control systems, networking hardware, communication devices, security systems, motorized shades, and lighting control systems.
  • Running, terminating, and labeling low-voltage cabling (audio, video, data, and control) in new construction and retrofit environments.
  • Mounting and wiring wall plates, jacks, and related hardware while maintaining clean and organized cable management.
  • Reading and interpreting AV system drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and verifying system functionality to ensure all components operate as designed.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to provide updates, explain system features, and offer basic troubleshooting guidance.
  • Collaborating with team members and project leads to complete service calls and large-scale installation projects efficiently.
  • Maintaining company tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean and working condition.
  • Following safety procedures and company standards on every job site.
  • Providing professional, courteous customer service to both new and existing clients.
  • Occasionally assisting our high voltage electrical division with tasks on residential new construction builds.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in low-voltage or custom audio/video installation (required).
  • Experience with Crestron equipment installation or programming is a plus.
  • Experience in residential AV systems preferred; commercial experience is also valuable.
  • Strong technical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail from installation through project completion.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, team members, and industry partners.
  • Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and accountability in all aspects of work.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, expand technical knowledge, and adapt to evolving systems.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualified Candidates Must:

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, use power tools safely, and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Have full time availability, including occasional weekend and/or overnight shift to meet client's needs
  • Be willing to travel to out-of-state jobs on rare occasions.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
