We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused Team Lead to support our Gortiflex production team and help drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

Position Summary:

The Gortiflex Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Gortiflex department, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality. This position provides guidance and direction to production employees, supports training and development, and acts as a key communication link between production, maintenance, quality, and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure the team meets production schedules and quality expectations.
  • Lead by example to promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
  • Train and support team members in Gortiflex production processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and communicate needs to supervisors and engineering.
  • Perform hands-on production work as needed to support the team.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of production data, time, and materials used.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S practices.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and departments to maintain consistency and resolve issues quickly.
  • Provide input on employee performance and assist in onboarding new team members.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience, preferably in a flexible materials or assembly environment.
  • Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and learning technical processes.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.
