Part-Time School Bus Driver

Hourly Pay: Based on Driving Experience

Job Description

The part-time driver will be working during the week, day or nights providing transportation for special events. We are adaptable and willing to work with your schedule.

Duties and ability will include but limited to the following:

· Safely operate school buses for all trips in support of school approved activities in accordance with Federal, State and Local Laws and in accordance with Samson Tours Policy.

· Inspect school buses and related equipment as required by Federal, State and Samson Tours Policy – pre and post trip inspections.

· Comply with traffic regulations.

· Immediately report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to the dispatcher on duty using phones or mobile two-way radios.

· Maintain control of student passengers to ensure safety and report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.

· Complete forms, records and reports as required by the State and School policies.

· Operate and service all school bus equipment and accessories including but not limited to fire extinguishers, highway warning kits and first aid kits.

· Maintain a clean and orderly school bus.

· Operate all hand and foot controls installed in a school bus as required by School Bus Specifications.

· Communicate appropriately with students, parents and school personnel.

· Maintain knowledge of first aid procedures.

· Submit to random drug and alcohol screening.

· Successfully complete school bus driver training programs and courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 2 years' experience driving a motor coach or school bus.

· Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.

· Maintain a current DOT Medical Card.

· Clean Background Report

· Clean MVR
