Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in providing top-notch maintenance and repair for our fleet of diesel vehicles including Sprinters vans, minibus and motorcoaches. We have Vanhool coaches and Mercedes Sprinters in our fleet. This role is vital to ensuring the reliability and performance of our transportation services, contributing directly to our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service tasks.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • We use FLEETIO software for all repair documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Must have verifiable references.
  • MUST PROVIDE OWN TOOLS-- Tool allowance is an option.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and automotive diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
