Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and capable Nanomaterials Production Technician with strong communication, technical and operational skills to join our team in Lexington, KY. This position involves production-related activities for Engi-Mat's diverse customers. Hands-on experience with the set-up and operation of production equipment is highly desired.

The primary responsibilities of the Nanomaterials Production Technician are to assemble, maintain and operate our proprietary Nanomiser production systems to manufacture high performance materials.

This hands-on position requires capable multi-tasking in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure a clean and safe work environment

· Operate the company's Nanomiser production systems

· Maintain and assemble production-related equipment and systems

· Meet deadlines and production requirements

· Mixing of chemical solutions

· Troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment problems

· Operate furnaces and sieving equipment

· Record data, and maintain and update process documentation (e.g., lab notebooks and SOPs)

· Adhere to and support Engi-Mat's ISO 9001 Quality Management System

· Assist with the upkeep of manufacturing, lab and office areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and specialized chemical handling infrastructure.

· Assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

· Work closely and collaboratively with other employees

· Track time and spending in accordance with company policies, and in compliance with government requirements.

· Other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

This position requires high integrity, a team-player attitude, and a personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

· Strong technical capabilities

· A background in production and/or maintenance, with skills such as mechanical, electrical, or chemical

· The ability to understand and operate process control systems

· Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

· Experience with thermal processes

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

· An ability to learn quickly

· An ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Familiarity with quality systems including ISO 9001

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team; highly self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented

Travel required: Less than 5%

This position requires access to controlled technology and technical data subject to ITAR. Therefore, only U.S. persons as defined by ITAR will be considered for this position.

Local candidates highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
