The Retail Lead serves as the operational anchor of the coffee tasting room, ensuring smooth daily performance across service, sales, and presentation. In our small company, this role reports directly to the CEO, who sets the vision and strategic direction. The Retail Lead combines hospitality, retail management, and marketing execution to deliver an exceptional guest experience centered on single-origin coffees, premium teas, and brewing gear. The position drives sales through informed recommendations, oversees product displays and the cleanliness of all customer and employee areas, manages drink preparation on state-of-the-art espresso equipment, and ensures the tasting room operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with the roastery's standards of quality and brand integrity. A B.A. in Business or a minimum of five years of experience in specialty coffee, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
