About the Role
We're seeking a
Director of Strategy and Operations
to serve as the firm's
operational partner
to the Managing Attorney. This is a rare opportunity for a
systems-oriented, growth-minded professional
to work directly withthe founder of a thriving boutique.
You will run the business side of the practice—designing systems, analyzing performance, and executing strategy—so the Managing Attorney can focus on clients, advocacy, and leadership. You'll also help drive the firm's external growth by coordinating speaking engagements, marketing initiatives, and high-leverage networking opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
Improve and manage firm systems for billing, collections, client intake, and workflow. - Financial Intelligence:
Review data; identify problems early and recommend actionable solutions. - Process Engineering:
Create and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that improve efficiency, accountability, and quality control. - Staff Coordination:
Ensure internal priorities are executed; track deliverables and hold the team accountable. - Marketing & Visibility:
Partner with the Managing Attorney to develop a visibility plan—identify events, manage logistics, and pursue speaking opportunities that elevate the firm's profile. - Strategic Execution:
Translate the Managing Attorney's vision into measurable, organized action.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Operations Management
(MBA preferred). - 5–10 years in
business operations or management
within a professional-services environment (law, accounting, consulting, or finance). - A
systems thinker
with strong analytical, financial, and organizational skills. - Experienced at leading teams and enforcing process in a professional, respectful way.
- Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and a bias for action.
- Motivated by the chance to
grow something from the inside out
and work directly with the firm owner as a trusted partner.
Compensation & Structure
- Base Salary:
$150,000 - $160,000 - Bonus:
