Responsibilities

  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales accurately and swiftly.
  • Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience.
  • Assist in merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining an attractive store environment.
  • Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and participating in regular stock replenishment activities.
  • Promote store promotions and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences.
  • Maintain professional phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or coordinating with team members.
  • Assist with supervising responsibilities as needed, including guiding new team members or overseeing daily store operations during shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies at all times.

Experience

  • Previous experience in resturant sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
  • Familiarity with merchandising, stock management, and upselling techniques will help you excel in this role.
