Job Description
You will be the Software Quality Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin team in Chelmsford, MA. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Systems & Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) common processes that align with AS9100 Quality Management System, Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI), Program, and customer requirements.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Quality Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including systems and software development, test and evaluation, and project management, to ensure high-quality software solutions. You will play a critical role in driving quality engineering processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Your Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain SSQE common processes aligned with AS9100, CMMI, and program requirements
- Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers to ensure quality engineering processes are implemented
- Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate program risks and ensure delivery milestone schedules are met
- Utilize excellent customer interface and presentation skills to communicate quality engineering processes and results
- Work effectively in a team environment, leveraging interpersonal skills to drive quality engineering initiatives

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications
-STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience.

-Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

-Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.

-Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.

-Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.

-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

-Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

-Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.

-Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.

-Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Demonstrated presentation skills.

Desired skills
-Bachelors degree in a STEM related field or higher highly preferred.

-Familiarity with electrical engineering discipline.

-Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance.

-Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements.

-Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.

-Demonstrated problem solving skills.

-Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing.

-Experience with root cause analysis tools.

-ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)

-Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

-Experience with Government customers.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
