Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for our PM Division who will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in public accounting and possess strong financial management skills to support our organization's mission.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and SOX regulations while preparing accurate financial reports.
  • Oversee cash management processes and maintain balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Ensure all PM Escrow accounts comply with Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) requirements
  • Prepare and file all state sales tax returns accurately and timely
  • Manage accounting staff and provide guidance on daily operations
  • Serve as point of contact for accounting related inquiries from other Property Management offices
  • Provide monthly reporting and initiate ACH transfers to Corporate Office for PM revenue
  • Collaborate with Controller to resolve accounting issues and support financial operations.
  • Coordinate with EVP, Regional Managers and accounting staff on anynew procedures, acquisitions, and special projects as needed.
  • Balance and/or review bank reconciliations monthly for all PM accounts.
  • Administer online banking systems and liaise with banking personallel for any issues related to scanners, analysis fees and system access.
  • Review contracts, legal documents and public records to address property ownership inquiries from offices.
  • Conduct research on relevant statutes and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Revie and file IRS Forms 109ss for vendors and owners
  • Provide foreign ownership information to Corporate office for 1042-S tax reporting.
  • Serve as primary bookkeeper for Commercial properties
  • Adminster users for Credit Card and reconcile owners invoices and make payments on credit card account
  • Complete bulk TIN matching in accordance with IRS requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, IFRS standards, and GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in cash management, financial report writing and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes and account reconciliation techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of debits & credits and technical accounting concepts.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
