Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist for Providence Regional Shared Service is Portland, OR.

Full-Time/Variable 

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. 

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/MLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
  • 1 year experience.
