Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supporting projects requiring due diligence and comprehensive historical research, including the completion of ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
- Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM International's E Standard.
- Providing multi-media environmental compliance services, delivering ongoing environmental guidance to clients and assisting with environmental compliance audits.
- Supporting preparation of environmental plans such as Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s), and Slug Discharge Control Plans.
- Supporting design and execution of environmental management systems and programs tailored for corporate clients.
- Developing compliance documentation and permit applications related to the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
- Delivering litigation support services under attorney-client privilege.
- Contributing to the development of technical reports, correspondence, memoranda, specifications, and proposals.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience (5+ years preferred) working in environmental consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to environmental compliance. (required)
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Field work and overnight travel may be required.
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
