Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst II supports different planning, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis for Rockwell's Intelligent Devices (ITD) organization. You will report to our Finance Manager - Global Analytics & Insights (GA&I) and will partner with the ITD Finance team and other teams within the organization to help accomplish desired outcomes. The mission of the GA&I organization is to provide partners with information to manage performance and support decision-making, while improving processes. You will manage standard reporting and analysis for the business/function and provide ad-hoc support. You will use global consolidation financial systems (EPM) and SAP to provide performance reporting and insight on a variety of important financial metrics with continued focus on automation, simplification and standardization. Analysis of monthly financial results vs. forecast, AOP, and prior year; provide management with insight on current and forward-looking results

Your Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and review applicable financial reports prepared by the GA&I team
  • Ensure predictability of results by guiding AOP and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Help prepare the annual Business Strategy Review (BSR)
  • Develop and advocate for automation, simplification, and standardization in reporting
  • Create ad hoc analyses and respond to business inquiries to understand material drivers of financial performance
  • Align with the other teams in the GA&I organization to improve and standardize global processes
  • Help with team training efforts and help develop co-workers' FP&A skillsets and systems knowledge
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Typically requires 8 years related accounting/finance experience
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle EPM, or related systems
  • Command of US GAAP, income statement, and balance sheet
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Experience working across departments and regions to gather pertinent data
  • CPA or MBA
