Job Title: Executive Director - Head Start / Early Head Start / Family Child Care Network

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our Head Start, Early Head Start, and Family Child Care Network programs. The Executive Director will oversee operations, compliance, and strategic growth initiatives to ensure high-quality early childhood education and family services. This position reports directly to the CEO and plays a key leadership role in advancing the organization's mission to support children, families, and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall management and administration of Head Start, Early Head Start, and Family Child Care programs.
  • Ensure full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, DOE policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee program budgets, financial accountability, and grant management.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop senior leadership staff to promote excellence and equity.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Policy Council, staff, and community partners to achieve program and organizational goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and implement continuous quality improvements.
  • Represent the organization at local, state, and federal meetings related to early childhood education.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a Head Start or nonprofit setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, early childhood regulations, and grant management.
  • Strong leadership, budgeting, staff development, and community engagement skills.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, operational management, and partnership development.
