Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for managing warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient movement of materials. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the shipping and receiving process.

Duties:

- Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment such as clamp trucks, lift trucks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment

- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers

- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas

- Perform regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy

- Prepare materials for shipment by verifying orders, packing items, and securing packages

- Inspect incoming materials for quality and report any issues or discrepancies

- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the flow of materials throughout the warehouse

- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance as needed

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Pull slab orders from the slab yard according to provided schedules.

  • Transport slabs to staging areas and use a software to capture pictures for documentation.

  • Safely unload slabs from the container using forklifts, ensuring products are undamaged and match the provided paperwork.

  • Arrange slabs in the staging areas, documenting their locations for easy retrieval.

  • Maintain a safe and organized stone yard environment for staff and customers.

  • Perform material pickups and drop-offs at vendor locations as needed.

  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

Skills:

- Proven experience in warehouse management and material handling

- Proficiency in operating clamp trucks, lift trucks, reach trucks, and other heavy equipment

- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to use hands and arms for handling objects and controls.

Regular standing and walking, occasional sitting.

Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Close vision abilities required for detailed work.

Pay: Starting from $16 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Experience:

Forklift Operation: 2 years preferred in the stone industry.
