The year 1954 marked a significant milestone in thermal insulation history. Armstrong's R&D Project Number 54013, developed by three innovators, evolved into ArmaFlex, the world's first flexible, closed-cell elastomeric foam for equipment insulation. This product revolutionized the insulation industry. Today, 70 years later, ArmaFlex continues to be a pillar of Armacell's success.
The Quality Manager is a key management member of the Yukon team responsible for managing the quality department, testing, staff and all aspects of quality operations to ensure product and manufacturing processes meet or exceed customer and company requirements. The Quality Manager will also drive continuous improvement activities utilizing WCM.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation, process, and maintenance of all aspects of pillars assigned.
  • Manage customer quality system requirements and compliance activities.
  • Manage customer quality audits and surveys to ensure outgoing product quality is continuously improving.
  • Provide quality technical support to process and manufacturing activities.
  • Provide employee and operator training on key quality concepts.
  • Ensure that the quality assurance lab has technical capability to support products and raw materials used to make finished goods.
  • Drive quality activities in finished goods production and line trials to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and support all aspects of the Quality database.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers regularly to ensure satisfaction and drive improvements.
  • Maintain and manage activities for quality certifications, i.e. ISO, TS, Customer Quality Audits, including customer complaints, document control, internal auditing, management review, control of non-conforming product, and corrective actions.
  • Design quality metrics and reports and remain abreast of gauging, inspection and statistical technology.
  • Proactively involves employees at all levels of the organization to gain their input and support.
  • Benchmarks industry best practices to identify future improvements and opportunities.

Job Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Operations, Engineering or related field required.
  • 5 -10 years of quality experience in manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience in implementing or maintaining an ISO QMS.
  • Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead effective teams and manage others.
  • Proven experience in project management and risk management.

The expected compensation range for this role is $100, $130,000.00.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
