Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program

This is a paid, hands-on training program designed to help you build a career in the sheet metal trade - no tuition, no student debt. Over 1–2 years, you'll gain valuable skills and experience while working alongside experienced professionals.

Pay Progression

  • Starting pay: $18.00/hour
  • $1.00/hour increase every 90 days based on performance and skill development
  • $22.50/hour at one-year anniversary upon successful completion of the program

What You'll Learn

  • Shop policies and safety procedures
  • Blueprint reading and work instructions
  • Use of pneumatic, hand, and power tools
  • Types of materials, rivets, and sealants
  • Painting, shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
  • Inspection techniques and quality control

After 90 days, you'll receive a performance evaluation and skills assessment. If both parties agree to continue, you'll sign a one-year training agreement to complete the program.

As you progress, your pay will increase every 90 days, with a target wage of $22.50/hour at your one-year anniversary.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
