Summary of Work Performed: Under the supervision of a supervisor or an employee of equal or higher rank, the Manufacturing Engineer Resource Planner III is responsible for effectively allocating manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance. This includes managing BOM consumption, creating CAP routings, and processing manufacturing orders within Bell business systems. When a Manufacturing CAD (MCAD) model exists, the role does not include creating or maintaining manufacturing instructions such as drawings and modeling. The candidate must possess knowledge of shop production and processing operations and work in accordance with management strategies, departmental processes, and Bell Business Systems. The position may involve training other employees. Work Performed: Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, models, BOMs, technical specifications, quality documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures. Manage BOM consumption accurately for manufacturing operations. Create and maintain work sequence documentation and CAP routings. Generate manufacturing orders/requests, including NC programs, tools, fixtures, and gages. Support manufacturing operations through production order management, tool requests, and planning liaison functions. Develop and maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions (text, 2D/3D), material operation diagrams, and ply tables. When MCAD models exist, do not create or maintain manufacturing instructions. Apply knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes. Support producibility assessments and maintain records of work schedules and costs. Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as needed. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Train, direct, and validate work in production engineering, remaining current with technological advancements through training and testing. Educational and Experience Requirements: Two years of college or equivalent experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of the Bell apprentice program. Demonstrated ability in applying GD&T/Aerospace tolerances, technical writing, and proficiency in planning software, Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP, CAD software. Preferred experience includes manufacturing of composite or metallic materials and machined parts. Strong communication skills are required. The role involves handling ITAR-controlled information, requiring U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, political asylee, or refugee).
