Catalina Foothills Church (PCA) is seeking a warm, relational, and mission-driven Director/Pastor of Community to lead our church's efforts in connection, care, and discipleship. This role helps people find meaningful community, receive care in times of need, and grow as followers of Jesus. The ideal candidate is a shepherd-hearted leader who can build systems, develop teams, and cultivate a culture of connection within the church and beyond.

Position Summary

The Director/Pastor of Community provides leadership for CFC's Connect and Care ministries, helping newcomers and long-time attendees engage in meaningful relationships, prayerful support, and spiritual formation. This role also contributes to preaching/teaching and partners closely with the Senior Leadership Team to advance the church's mission.

Key Responsibilities

* Connection & Assimilation

- Lead the strategy for welcoming, integrating, and engaging new attendees.

- Oversee processes that help people move from visiting → belonging → serving.

- Support and develop community-building environments such as community

groups and connection events.

* Care & Shepherding

- Provide leadership for ministries that support people through crisis, loss, or

pastoral need.

- Oversee care efforts including visitations, counseling resources,

memorials/weddings, and support groups.

- Equip teams and volunteers to provide compassionate, Christ-centered care.

* Leadership & Ministry Development Recruit, train, and support staff and volunteer

leaders in Connect & Care ministries.

* Contribute to preaching and teaching as gifted and needed.

* Partner with church leadership to ensure ministries reflect CFC's mission, values, and biblical philosophy of ministry.

* Community Engagement

- Strengthen partnerships that help CFC love and serve our city well.

- Support service initiatives and community outreach opportunities.

Qualifications

* A committed follower of Jesus with strong character, humility, and spiritual maturity.

* Shepherd-hearted with a genuine love for people and community-building.

* Experience leading teams, volunteers, or ministry programs.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to organize, collaborate, and build healthy systems.

* Seminary degree or theological training preferred (required for "Pastor" title).
