Sentry is currently seeking a Data Engineer with a .NET web and API development skillset. In this position, you will work on our custom-built user interface for Sentry's data lake solution. A critical component of our cloud-based data lake, the application manages all metadata and acts as the presentation layer for the entire ecosystem. This position can be filled as a Data Developer, Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer depending on the related skills and qualifications of the selected candidate.

Contribute: You'll work in a full-stack, cloud first, development environment where you'll have the chance to work in many industry-leading technologies, including but not limited to: Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, AWS Cloud, Snowflake, SQL Server, , REST API, JavaScript, TypeScript, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, SCSS. In this role, you will:
Design and develop technical solutions to meet product requirements effectively.
- Utilize knowledge and understanding of technical and business domains to apply effective solutions.
- Actively participate in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and other collaborative activities.
- Leverage understanding of relevant domains to enable effective decision-making.
- Understand and apply technical best practices.
- Provide mentorship and foster professional growth and development of fellow team members.
What it Takes:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience or more, preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to the role.
- Working knowledge of data management and business intelligence systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of design principles and best development practices.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to recognize inefficiencies in product and processes and proactively address inefficiencies.
