Accounts Receivable Specialist
to support the accounting function of a leading organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate collection of incoming payments and maintaining the financial health of the company.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the ideal candidate will bring both technical proficiency and outstanding interpersonal skills to foster internal and external collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and verify invoices for goods or services rendered.
  • Accurately post and reconcile payments to client accounts.
  • Monitor account balances and proactively reach out to clients for collections.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with professionalism.
  • Maintain organized, detailed records of receivables and collection activities.
  • Conduct routine account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Generate reports including accounts receivable aging, cash receipts, and credit memos.
  • Partner with internal departments to align billing and payment practices.
  • Assist in the month-end close process and generate supporting reports.
  • Maintain and update customer records including contact and billing information.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives related to receivables.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to optimize collections workflow.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding payments and account status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and AR best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • Effective communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
