Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced
Sales / Business Development Representative
to help drive new business opportunities and support the company's continued growth.

The ideal candidate will have a background in
construction
, with experience in
marine or dredging
industries considered a strong plus. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, generating leads, and assisting with bid preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government, private, and industrial sectors.
  • Generate new leads and secure new businesses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare bid documentation and proposals, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Coordinate internally to gather required information for proposal packages.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify potential growth areas.
  • Maintain organized records of sales activities, bid submissions, and client interactions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on pipeline progress and new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or customer outreach.
  • Construction industry experience required; marine or dredging industry experience highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with bid platforms or government contracting processes is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
