Youth Services Operations Lead

The Youth Services Operations Lead oversees facility services , including building and grounds maintenance, laundry and housekeeping. They also supervise and train staff, and plan work schedules and assignments.
Ideally, Youth Services Operations Lead should have at least one year of experience working directly with persons with mental disabilities or other behavioral disabilities.(b) or be a human services professional possessing at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field, including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or other waivered field.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that youth residents with behavioral and mental disabilities receive trauma-informed, person-centered, high-quality care and support. They work collaboratively with residents, their families, and the care team to promote independence, choice, and well-being while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.
The Youth Services Operations Lead is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a facility, They are the Secondary Administrators for the Facility. They ensure the facility is running smoothly and efficiently by completing tasks like:
Maintenance
- Managing building maintenance, plumbing, and medical equipment and supplies
Safety
- Conducting life safety and fire safety assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations
Security
- Ensuring all buildings meet security standards and performing inspections of medical gas, refrigeration, and HVAC systems
Assessment and Care Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' strengths, needs, and preferences.
- Collaborate with residents, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans based on person-centered planning principles.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements, including those related to Medi-Cal and regulatory agencies.
Advocacy:
- Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring that their voices and choices are heard and respected in all aspects of their care.
- Assist residents in accessing services and resources to meet their individualized needs.

- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements, including those related to Medicaid and regulatory agencies.
Advocacy:
- Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring that their voices and choices are heard and respected in all aspects of their care.

Staff Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to direct care staff and other team members on person-centered care principles.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the consistent implementation of care plans.
Behavioral Support:
- Develop and implement positive behavior support plans for residents with challenging behaviors.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of behavior support strategies.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that the facility complies with all applicable regulations, including those related to Medi-Cal and Title 22.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
Family and Community Engagement:
- Maintain open communication with residents' families and involve them in care planning and decision-making.
- Foster positive relationships between residents and their communities.
Crisis Intervention:
- Implement crisis intervention plans and strategies to address emergencies.
- Coordinate and lead crisis response efforts when necessary.
Continuing Education:
- Stay current on developments in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Attend training and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $42, $72,800.00 per year
