Overview

SolarMax Technology Inc. is a Solar Electric Systems Integrator. We specialize in the design, financing and delivery of affordable, high performance solar electric systems for residential and commercial customers.

The Solar Electric Lead will be responsible for everything pertaining to leading our solar installation team and battery installation. This may include, but is not limited to:

Duties

  • Lead, train and supervise a team and oversee jobsite installation by providing leadership, training and technical expertise for the installation of photovoltaic solar systems and battery installations
  • Assign duties to crew members and monitor their progress, maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service
  • Read plans and blueprints and manage the installation from start to finish
  • Connect solar system wiring, including combiner box, and AC disconnect to main service panel so that system can operate
  • Perform Main Panel upgrades
  • Able to commission systems, Tesla, Enphase, Q Cell. Install solar panels on roof tops and ground mount systems. Partial and whole back up battery systems and be test and repair
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Setting up backup load panels and efficiently moving circuits for battery integration
  • Assist with site preparation and clean up
  • Identify and correct electrical safety hazards associated with installations
  • Perform service panel upgrades on residential property
  • Mentor and develop the team
  • Drive to and from job site

Experience

  • Must be comfortable with heights and working in variable weather conditions
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and work on roofs or in tight spaces
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Ability to lead team, a team player with good customer service orientation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Good working knowledge of NEC code and residential wiring
  • Must be able to bend conduit
  • Must successfully pass a drug test (this includes marijuana) and background screening
  • Must possess a valid California state driver's license and to be able to drive Company vehicle you must be 23 yrs or older

Education/Experience Required

  • 2+ years working experience as a solar electrician or electrician in construction environment
  • Residential Electrical certification
