Duties
- Create and manage a high-performing sales team focused on outside sales efforts, cultivating new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals, emphasizing B2B (business-to-business) sales channels and technology solutions.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through proactive communication, personalized service, and tailored solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights that inform strategic planning.
- Oversee marketing initiatives to generate leads, increase brand awareness, and support sales campaigns.
- Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Lead business development efforts by identifying new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Manage key accounts to ensure client retention, satisfaction, and growth opportunities are maximized.
- Provide leadership in technical sales environments by translating complex product features into compelling value propositions for clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
- Monitor team performance through analysis skills, setting clear objectives and providing coaching to enhance skills in negotiation, account management, and customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding targets in B2B environments.
- Demonstrated management skills with experience leading sales teams or departments effectively.
- Extensive background in technology or technical sales with the ability to understand complex products or services.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for managing customer relationships and analyzing data.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to close deals successfully.
- Experience in business development—identifying opportunities for growth within existing markets or new territories.
- Expertise in account management strategies that foster long-term client relationships and maximize revenue potential.
- Analytical skills to interpret market data, sales metrics, and customer feedback for strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of marketing principles relevant to lead generation and brand positioning within competitive landscapes.
