Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Back-End Developer (accepting worldwide applicants). You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems that process large-scale financial data streams in real time. The ideal candidate will design and optimize APIs, build robust microservices, and ensure high availability and fault tolerance across distributed environments.

You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, data engineers, and product teams to deliver a seamless experience for traders and analysts. A strong understanding of trading systems, data pipelines, and performance optimization is essential.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend systems.
  • Mandatory experience working with stock market or trading platforms, including order execution, data feeds, or market data processing.
  • Proficiency in multiple backend languages such as GoLang, C, Rust, or Java, with additional experience in and frameworks.
  • Proven track record of building scalable, high-performance architectures capable of handling real-time data ingestion and processing.
  • Strong understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, and low-latency optimization.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (TimeScaleDB, PostgreSQL), message queues, and API development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of system design principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • Previous experience in a senior or lead developer role is a strong plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Base Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
