SummaryJames Hardie is looking for experienced Forklift Operators. The Forklift Operator is a vital member of the James Hardie Building Products team, responsible for driving forklifts to swiftly move material around our facility. This role can be fast paced with little down time and will keep you busy all shift. The Forklift Operator will become familiar with our quality standards and products. They will be responsible for properly stacking finished goods with no product or property damage and keep up with department housekeeping.

To be successful you must be initiative-taking and safety conscious. We are seeking individuals that are innovative and actively participate in and contribute to process improvement, while willing to work on multiple assignments throughout the shift. Flexibility and energy are necessary.
Must have a stable work history and the ability to demonstrate past successes related to a manufacturing or similar production environment are required. Two or more years in manufacturing is a plus.
As a 24/7 manufacturing facility of fiber cement building products, typical schedule for a Forklift Operator will be Monday through Friday / 8-hour shifts with additional OT as required.

What You'll Do:Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Material handling: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers using a forklift and other equipment.
- Order fulfillment: Pick, pack, wrap, label, and stage orders for shipment based on customer and work orders.
- Inventory management: Move materials to designated storage locations, perform cycle counts, and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
- Equipment maintenance: Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment and report any maintenance issues; escalating issues immediately.
- Safety and organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all JH safety policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Lift up to fifty pounds on a continuous basis.
- Walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Learn and be comfortable operating large forklifts (20,000lb+ capacity) and other heavy equipment.
- Work around bulk raw materials, moving equipment, high pressure water, varying temperatures, and other environmental conditions related to cement board manufacturing both inside and outside work required.
- PPE is required and supplied for this role
- Key responsibilities include safely operating equipment, performing daily checks, maintaining a clean work area, and completing necessary paperwork/tasks.
