We are seeking a reliable and friendly PART-TIME AND BACKUP Laundromat Attendant to join our team. Currently, we need someone occasionally for a few hours every week, generally on Wednesdays or Thursdays. We also need someone who will be available for more hours when there is high volume, OR our Laundromat Attendant is on vacation, or out sick, so you will be called to fill in as a Backup.

Duties as Attendant:

  • Prioritizing workload based on delivery date to customer
  • Using a laptop to create work orders with accurate customer information and laundry preferences
  • Sorting laundry items by color, size and material; washing laundry with commercial equipment following proper sanitization protocols, unloading laundry from commercial dryers, wrapping laundry for pickup or delivery to customers
  • Taking credit card payments via Square terminal
  • Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
  • Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable following stringent guidelines to ensure that clothing, linens and other items are clean and sanitized to meet quality standards
  • Computer data entry skills
  • Great customer service skills when handling customer and guest requests, issues and complaints professionally
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail when sorting colored items, handling delicate fabrics, and following customer preferences

Please note that this position requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 30 pounds.
