Sahlen's Sports Park seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to manage the day-to-day operations of the sports facility. Responsibilities include all aspects of the facilities including facility maintenance, field time management and delivery of services.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to, opening/closing duties.

· Present the facility to the public with exceptional cleanliness and in an organized, well-maintained fashion at all times.

· Have knowledge of all Sahlen's Sports Park programs and events lead in Field setup, preparation and breakdown.

· Ensure rentals, leagues, programs and tournaments are organized and running on time in an efficient manner during business hours. Directly supervise, monitor and follow up on scheduled work with all employees in area of responsibility (AOR).

· Lead in Field setup, preparation and breakdown, including balls, equipment, referees.

· Management of all part time staff, which includes interviewing, training, hiring, scheduling, motivating and monitoring progress.

· Improve management's effectiveness by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicate values, strategies, and objectives amongst all levels of staff; assign responsibilities, and monitor and evaluate results.

· Responsible for the delivery of all services provided at the facility.

· Experience in grooming indoor/outdoor turf fields.

· Report all maintenance and safety issues to the General Manager.

· Responsible for ordering and managing all cleaning/maintenance supplies at both Sahlen's Sports Park and Flash Fields

· Experience with Point of Sales and cash handling preferred.

· Assist with inputting Youth and Adult League Results

· Highly and self-motivated with a desire to be successful.

· Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely fashion.

· Assist in all other areas when needed.

Customer Service

· Maintain a positive attitude, take initiative, and work as a cohesive team with all Sahlen's Sports Park staff members to ensure efficiency and camaraderie.

· Provide a safe environment for all customers, guests and employees.

· Build brand awareness of SSP throughout the sports community

· Market the facility in the community

· Grow customer base; renew returning/annual customers and continue to develop new relationships within the facility

· Customer Service; answer phones, assist guests with customer service needs including team/player registration and payment

Other

· Evening Closing Manager

· Ability to prevent and resolve conflict, to deliver a high level of customer service and multitask.

· Ensure the proper use and care of equipment in facility

· Ensure the safety of the building from fire, flood and other hazards

· Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities

· Verify SOPs are completed and signed off before closing the facility

· Close the facility to ensure proper security

· First Response employee; AED, First Aid, CPR

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

Qualifications

· Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays

· 2 years of management/supervisory experience in a recreational facility or equivalent.

· College graduate or equivalent

· Hourly **: Starting at $25.00/hour
