Job Summary

A brand new Japanese restaurant in Echo Park , Tora Japanese Kitchen, is now seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest services and a strong background in customer service. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests through attentive service, effective communication, and culinary knowledge.

Duties

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
  • Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff efficiently.
  • Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift.
  • Buss tables promptly to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or casual dining setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus, along with culinary interests.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
