Part Time Retail Associate

Purpose

The Retail Associate provides our customers with a unique, customer first shopping experience. This position is a brand ambassador, responsible for generating sales by proactively engaging and connecting with our customers.

·       Compensation: $18-$21 DOE

·       Reports To: Store Manager

·       Schedule: 15-25hr, Holiday and Weekend availability

Essential Duties

·       Retail Sales

o   Create an elevated, upbeat, welcoming experience for customers

o   Drive and increase sales by connecting with customers and asking open-ended questions to assess needs and make relevant merchandise suggestions

o   Speak with knowledge and confidence to customers about materials, styles, fit, fabrics, price and trends in the outdoor and fashion industry

o   Strengthen our brand presence by encouraging customers to engage with social networking sites and email list

o   Educate customers on brand history, products, offers, promotions, and events

• • Process customer transactions efficiently with excellent point-of-sale/cash-handling accuracy
  • Answer questions via phone or email, including notifying customers promptly regarding restocked product and special orders

·       Support day-to-day operations

• • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, fitting rooms, window displays, cash-wrap areas, and back of house

o   Execute operational processes effectively and efficiently including: shipment processing, back stock replenishment, inventory counts, loss prevention

o   Communicate with internal teams and upper management, relaying special order requests, customer concerns, product issues, or sales/event opportunities to the proper team member

o   Ensure that health, safety, and security rules are followed

·       Performs other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

o   High School Degree

·       Experience

o   Previous experience in retail with cash handling

·       Skills

o   Excellent customer service

o   Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o   Ability to learn new computer programs and software

o   Reliable and professional

o   Friendly and engaging

o   Prolonged periods standing

o   Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
