Furniture and Home goods- Sales & Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance in selecting furniture and home décor.
  • Assess customer needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend suitable products.
  • Demonstrate product features, quality, and value; explain materials, finishes, and care.
  • Upsell and cross-sell complementary items (furniture sets, cushions, rugs, accessories).
  • Process transactions accurately through POS systems. Schedule delivery and order cushions as needed.

Store Presentation & Operations

  • Maintain showroom standards: organize displays, keep furniture clean, and ensure price tags/signage are accurate.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, tagging and merchandising new inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate customer requests or shortages to the manager.
  • Support store events, promotions, and seasonal floor changes.

Relationship Building

  • Build a loyal customer base through follow-ups, thank-you notes, and service after the sale.
  • Provide design guidance or coordinate in-home consultations when needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with designers, realtors, or trade professionals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in retail sales; furniture/home décor industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Basic computer/POS proficiency.
  • Ability to lift/move furniture and stand for extended periods.
  • A passion for design, interiors, and customer service excellence.

Compensations:

In addition to base bay there will be opportunities for bonus and sales commission.

Job Type: Part-time

Projected Total Compensation: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
