Position Summary
The Asset Reliability Manager is responsible for supervising and mentoring the team, leading preventive maintenance activities, and managing Maximo. Salary commensurate with experience. This positions will ideally be based in Midland, Texas with possibility to be out of Houston, Texas with expected travel to other company sites and areas of operations. This person will report to the SVP Engineering & Operations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develops and implements asset reliability and maintenance strategies.
  • Conducts reliability studies and risk assessments.
  • Maintains and improves the asset management system Maximo.
  • Verifies that all preventative maintenance tasks are being conducted on time and prompt actions are being taken to rectify corrective maintenance tasks and procedures.
  • Manages spare part inventory.
  • Ensures run times of facilities are tracked and implement ideas to improve run times.
  • Collaborates with other departments in root cause failure analysis.
  • Collaborates with capital project manager for any potential design changes after repeated failure of equipment.
  • Provides technical support for operations and maintenance activities.
  • Manages the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Prepares reports on asset performance and reliability metrics.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Adheres and leads by example on Company policies and procedures.
  • Manages and maintain timecards of direct reports in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in performance management, hiring, development and disciplinary processes.
  • Verifies that timesheets are reviewed and approved on a timely manner, and complies with regulations and policies on accurate time tracking.
  • Abides by Company policy in keeping one's own time up to date, as well as adheres to set schedule as agreed upon on the date of hire, and adjusted work schedules thereafter.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant oil and gas experience with 5 years of relevant asset reliability focus
  • Knowledgeable in basic equipment associated with salt water disposal wells (pumps, tanks etc)
  • Experience with asset reliability platforms
  • Field-based experience
  • Strong organization, planning and time-management skills for multiple priorities.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of organization.
  • Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong critical and analytic skills
  • Able to travel as needed to field visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • 15 years relevant experience including supervisory experience in asset reliability
  • Experience with Maximo
  • Supervisory experience

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to travel to field sites.
