Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Protection Specialist to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role involves monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and implementing security protocols to maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, conflict management, and emergency response, with relevant experience in law enforcement, military, or security services. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism and attention to detail are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools to identify potential threats or suspicious activities.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, utilizing first aid and CPR skills when necessary.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent loss prevention issues and unauthorized access.
  • Manage conflicts calmly and professionally, de-escalating situations as needed while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
  • Perform routine patrols of the facility to ensure perimeter integrity and detect any irregularities or safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external assistance.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities for review and compliance purposes.
  • Monitor surveillance footage continuously, utilizing CCTV systems to oversee sensitive areas and prevent theft or vandalism.

Experience

  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is preferred.
  • Proven experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong communication skills combined with the ability to assess risks quickly and accurately. Additional information:

  • Unarmed Security License Required (we can assist with if needed)
  • Must be mentally alert and capable of making decision in accordance with rules, regulations and policies of the location at which they are working, as well as that of the company
  • Must be able to observe behaviors, record and report details thoroughly and accurately according to the requirements of the job
  • Must be able to remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time and be able to travel on foot across rough, uneven surfaces
  • Must be computer literate, able to read, interpret, and implement written instructions/Post Orders, understand and follow oral instructions, and act in accordance with specialized training and requirements.
  • Must be physically capable of performing foot patrols at minimum once per hour and remaining vigilant and active while on duty
  • Must maintain a level of physical fitness necessary to climb stairs and lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be fluent in English and able to communicate with the general public in a face-to-face setting by telephone/smartphone.
