Summary
As a Business Support Assistant at DSV, you will provide essential administrative support to the sales team, contributing to the smooth operation of sales processes and client interactions. Your attention to detail, organization, and communication skills will be critical in assisting the sales team in achieving their goals and objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Maintain and update customer databases, sales records, and contact lists.
  • Coordinate sales meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the sales team.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and reports as needed.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with clients to schedule appointments, follow up on leads, and provide product or service information.
  • Assist with order processing, including generating quotes, processing sales orders, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide support to the sales team in preparing and executing sales campaigns, promotions, and events.
  • Assist in conducting market research and gathering competitive intelligence.
  • Compile and analyze sales data, trends, and metrics to support sales planning and decision-making.

Educational Background / Work Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with sales processes and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.

For this position, the expected base pay is:
$20.75
-
$27.75 / Hourly.
Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
