THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES.
The Key Account Manager AC is responsible for developing, managing, and growing long-term relationships with Wallbox's most strategic customers. This role plays a critical part in driving revenue, maximizing account value, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience through a deep understanding of client needs and seamless cross-functional collaboration.
The KAM will act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, leading strategic initiatives that strengthen partnerships, expand business opportunities, and contribute to Wallbox's leadership in the EV charging industry.
Responsibilities:
Account Relationship Management
- Develop and nurture trusted, long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high retention and continuous growth.
- Serve as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Account Planning
- Understand customer business models, operational challenges, and strategic objectives to effectively position Wallbox solutions.
- Lead account planning activities, including forecasting, pipeline management, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Identify new opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across the account portfolio.
Deal Management & Negotiation
- Drive strategic deal cycles, including proposal development, pricing, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with legal and finance to ensure smooth contract execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Operations, Customer Success, and Technical Support teams to enable flawless solution delivery and implementation.
- Ensure customer needs are communicated internally and that Wallbox delivers on expectations.
Account Performance & Operations
- Monitor account health, address escalations, and proactively mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate and updated CRM data, reporting regularly on account status, revenue performance, and pipeline.
Success Metrics
- Revenue growth and retention within assigned accounts.
- Customer satisfaction, including improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Conversion of strategic opportunities and increased pipeline velocity.
- Consistency and engagement in QBRs and account planning activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in key account management or strategic sales roles (EV, energy, SaaS, or tech preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex stakeholders.
- Strategic, analytical mindset with a focus on results and customer value.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in B2B key account management or new business sales, ideally in technical or renewable energy industries.
- Proven track record growing strategic accounts and closing large deals.
- Strong solution-selling and consultative sales skills.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Comfortable working with long sales cycles and multi-site projects.
- Strong CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred) and structured approach to account planning.
