What will you do?

A day in the life of a Coordinator, Merch Ops at Vans looks a little like this.

This role sits within the Merchandising Operations team supporting Global Brand. It works closely with Merchandising and cross-functional partners to ensure smooth execution of merchandising processes. At a high level, the role focuses on coordinating calendars, maintaining data accuracy, and facilitating communication to keep workflows organized and aligned with business priorities. The position reports directly to the Merchandising Operations Manager.

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Maintain merchandising milestone calendars and ensure key dates are communicated and updated across teams.

  • Update merchandising tools, trackers and systems with accurate product and assortment information.

  • Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and assist with milestone presentations or seasonal reviews.

  •  Act as a liaison between merchandising and other teams to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, data accuracy, and priorities.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 0-2 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, retail operations, or related administrative support.
  • Familiarity with merchandising calendars, product lifecycle, and retail processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with PLM or ERP systems a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location requirement: Hybrid schedule in-office in Costa Mesa, CA.

Hiring Range:

$57,888.00 USD - $72,360.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
