Valencia & Torres Law is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in our Doral office. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment. This role supports our attorneys through all phases of civil litigation and is integral to maintaining our firm's high standards of client service and case management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative and case support to litigation attorneys
  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and court filings
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare correspondence, pleadings, discovery documents, and subpoenas
  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Maintain and organize case files (both electronic and hard copy)
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with e-filing, document production, and trial preparation as needed
  • Perform other tasks to ensure efficient case progression and attorney support

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a litigation support or legal assistant role (personal injury preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems (Florida ePortal, CM/ECF)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to client confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
