Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of construction management, and a proven track record in supervising teams on-site. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and project scheduling.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations on construction sites to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate all construction activities, including subcontractors and laborers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Utilize construction management software such asBluebeam, ProCore, for project tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to blueprints and schematics.
  • Facilitate communication between Project Managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior staff members while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Skills

  • Proficient in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, etc
  • Strong understanding of contracts, budgeting, project scheduling, and construction estimating.
  • Extensive experience in managing construction sites with a focus on safety practices (OSHA compliance).
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience in leading diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform quality control assessments using tools like an ohmmeter.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
