Position Responsibilities:
- Generate sales for Rainforest products within the assigned region
- Manage relationships with customers and vendor partners; write/process customer orders as needed (daily and weekly)
- Activate new accounts within the defined territory.
- Gain additional placement within existing accounts and introduce new brands to these accounts.
- Assist with major retail initiatives, including new product introductions, new chain activations, display activations, and reset.
- Monitor inventory levels in each store to optimize sales and minimize returns.
- Merchandising: Merchandise Rainforest products at all assigned accounts, focusing on generating sales.
- Store/Account Visits: On the first day, the Merchandiser will receive a list of assigned accounts to visit daily (Accounts may be assigned and reassigned to sales team members from time to time at the sole discretion of Rainforest). Merchandisers are required to personally visit each assigned account at least four to five times per week unless otherwise directed by their supervisor. Merchandisers must arrive at their first assigned account no later than 8:00 AM each day.
- Stock Replenishment & Display Management: Efficiently replenish stock of dairy, frozen, and grocery items, expand product display space, and enhance shelf positioning for optimal visibility.
- Product Placement Optimization: Identify and determine the best product placement within stores to maximize visibility and drive sales.
- Display Creation: Design and maintain visually appealing displays to attract customers and encourage purchases.
- Planogram Development: Develop and implement planograms to guide accurate product placement on store shelves.
- Store Layout Understanding: Familiarize yourself with individual store plans to assist with product resets.
- Promotional & Seasonal Displays: Ensure promotional and seasonal displays are set up correctly and comply with the store's guidelines and standards.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with store purchasing team to maintain optimal stock levels, preventing both overstock and stockouts
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels and rotate products to ensure freshness, removing expired or damaged items as needed.
- Compliance with Store Standards: Ensure all products are organized and displayed in accordance with the retail store's guidelines and standards.
- Communication & Coordination: Maintain effective communication with store managers, buyers, suppliers and other relevant teams, providing feedback on product performance and suggesting improvements. Collaborate with the Rainforest team on merchandising-related issues.
- Meetings & Participation: Attend and actively participate in meetings at Rainforest offices, contributing insights and updates as necessary.
- Daily Photo Documentation: Reps are required to submit pre- and post-merchandising photos of displays featuring Rainforest products via the internal communication platform, Slack.
- Daily Recaps: Respond promptly to requests from supervisors for periodic recap emails summarizing daily initiatives.
- Mandatory Training: Reps are required to complete all training relevant to Rainforest policies and their respective positions

- Able to work in refrigerated/cold and freezing conditions.
- Perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and other physical movements required for stocking and display management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Sales and/or Grocery/Merchandising preferred.
- Natural Food Industry experience preferred.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
- Must have a functioning smartphone.
